Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel Aged Chardonnay White Wine is the world's first and only chardonnay wine aged in bourbon barrels. With intense aromas of ripe pineapple and toasted coconut framed by hints of toasted marshmallow and vanilla bean custard, this aged wine offers rich, creamy flavors of grilled pineapple, juicy peach, lemon custard, graham cracker, toffee and vanilla bean. Crafted from coastal fruit in Monterrey County, this California chardonnay wine is aged for at least two months in new bourbon barrels that give it its rich and toasty flavor. It's also aged in used bourbon barrels from a Kentucky distillery, which add notes of vanilla and baking spices, reflecting the expressive character of this original approach to barrel aging. Balanced by bright acidity and a lingering finish, enjoy this decadent Robert Mondavi wine with grilled halibut, shrimp scampi or bacon wrapped dates.
